Will It Run on My Display?

Short answer

Yes, with mapping. You do not need our exact props, our exact house, or our exact fixtures. You import the sequence into xLights and map our models onto yours. Mapping is normal for every vendor's sequences, and our How It Works page walks through the steps.

Our layout, lit. Compare it with yours before you buy.

Map the spine first

The parts that carry the song are the mega tree, the matrix panels, the roofline, and the window frames. Map these first. They carry the beat, the melody, and the big moments.

Accents are optional

Candy canes, snowflakes, spinners, icicles, pixel poles, and similar accent props are optional. If you do not have one, the song still works. That part simply stays dark on your display. Nothing breaks, and the sequence still plays.

Check before you buy

Each product page lists the props a sequence uses. Compare that list with your layout before you buy. If you are unsure, email us a screenshot of your layout before you buy and we will tell you honestly whether it is a good fit, including telling you not to buy if it will not work well for you.

Moving heads

Our sequences were programmed for 6 DMX moving heads (MH1 fixtures, 16 channels each). You will need to map our 6 heads to your own fixtures and adjust the channels. They will not match every moving head out of the box.
